Inside, under a 50 foot skylight, is a wonderful space for learning, teaching, speaking, listening, and sharing. There is room for gatherings of up to 35 people, with overnight accommodations for 15. When weather permits, sessions, outdoor meetings, and concerts may be held on the 50' deck overlooking the woods- with seasonal views of the Hudson River. The lawn provides more open areas and gathering places. As you walk the land, listening to the waters of Miriam's Well, you will connect to the divine forces that nurture your soul. DRIVING NORTH ON THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS: From Exit 19: Pay toll and exit off traffic circle (Route 28, Rhinecliff Bridge, 209). Take the first exit off Route 28 (Rhinecliff Bridge). Go approximately 6 miles to Saugerties, 9 W North exit. Follow 9W North for approx 6 miles, past McDonald's and the Saugerties mall on the left. Continue about 1/2 mile, turn Right at Spaulding Lane (there's a little drive-in restaurant on the corner). Take the first Left onto Simmons Street. On the right you will pass Meadow Ct. Turn right into the second driveway on the right past Meadow Ct. Follow the driveway about 1/8 mile to Miriam's Well. DRIVING
SOUTH ON THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY From Exit 20: Pay toll and go left onto Route 32 until it ends. Turn left onto 212 until it dead ends into Market St. Follow the road to the right onto Market St. and continue to the light (Main St.). Turn right onto Main St. Go one block, turn left onto West Bridge St. Follow West Bridge St. as it curves to the right and cross the bridge. After crossing, the road goes uphill, curves to the right, then curves to the left. When the road curves to the right again, go straight into a neighborhood onto Barclay St. (Knights of Columbus is on the left). Take the first right onto Simmons St. Count 6 buildings on the left and at the sixth house (tan) turn left into the driveway (NOTE: if you come to Meadow Ct. you've gone too far). Follow the driveway about 1/8 mile to Miriam's Well. The
Center at Miriam's Well lies on five wooded acres that were originally
inhabited by the indigenous people of the area. They seeded the land
with spirit and energy that continue to nourish the human soul today.
After eleven years of living and raising their children here, Susan
and Richard Rosen now want to open this space to a larger community
and share the spirit of the place.
Each
season has its own enchantment at Miriam's Well. The property offers
paths and meditation in the woods and strolls by the pond- home to
many turtles, frogs, and fish. There is a beautiful new outdoor pool
and waterfall, with plans for a hot tub in the near future. A medicine
wheel and a variety of gardens from meditative to Japanese reflect
the eclectic nature of the interests represented at Miriam's Well.
