Miriam's Well Retreat Venue and Grounds
13 Simmons Street
The Center at Miriam's Well lies on five wooded acres that were originally inhabited by the indigenous people of the area. They seeded the land with spirit and energy that continue to nourish the human soul today.
After eleven years of living and raising their children here, Susan and Richard Rosen opened the place to share its spirit with a larger community.
Each season has its own enchantment at Miriam's Well. The property offers paths and meditation in the woods, and strolls by the pond, home to turtles, frogs and fish. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and waterfall, and a labyrinth. A medicine wheel and a variety of other gardens, from meditative to Japanese, reflect the eclectic nature of the interests represented at Miriam's Well.
Situated near the swimming pool is a handsome yurt, where most of the programs take place, throughout all seasons. The carpeted space is perfect for gatherings of up to 35 people, for learning, teaching, speaking, listening, moving and sharing.
Inside the main house, under a 50-foot skylight, is another wonderful space for activities, including meals. There are overnight accommodations for up to 15 people.
When weather permits, outdoor sessions, meetings and concerts may be held on the 50-foot deck overlooking the woods, with seasonal views of the Hudson River. The lawn provides more open areas and gathering places.
As you walk the land, listening to the waters of Miriam's Well, you will connect to the divine forces that nurture your soul.
