Join veteran acting coach Carol Fox Prescott for "The Theater of Everyday Life." Not an actor? Then this three-part series is perfect for you. You ARE an actor? Then think of this as an exquisite opportunity to hone your craft in the most meaningful way.
"The Theater of Everyday Life" is designed to propel you forward, to overcome common stumbling blocks that we all trip across in our personal and professional lives, to unlock your inner confidence and voice and to inspire new creativity in both our everyday tasks as well as our long range goals.
We'll begin with a Spring "Awakening" session, June 15th thru 17th, a weekend retreat where we'll dedicate ourselves to delving into what's in front of us now, turning open the creative spigots and exploring the areas that may have been clogged or lying stagnant. Think of this session as "soul plumbing." It's a perfect introduction to Carol's invitation for each of us to explore what our voices, our breath and our bodies can do.
The drowsy, gorgeous days of summer lend themselves so well to our "Odalisque" session, August 10th thru 12th. During this retreat, we'll be celebrating our individual and collective renaissance, with singing, writing, movement, acting improv, and dedicated time to create visual art. Think of this session as your own personal "guided bacchanal." It's a perfect opportunity to be entertained, inspired and delighted by each other and by our own creativity.
It all comes together in Fall's "Harvest" session, October 26th thru 28th, when we take in what we've learned, put it to task in the here and now and take steps to revisit it at will in the seasons ahead. What did you learn in our earlier sessions? Did you tap into an unknown talent, voice or experience? Think of this session as "stocking the larder." It's a perfect opportunity for each participant will be encouraged to take what enchanted, appealed and provoked and put in into our practical everyday lives.
